Gehl Foods Annouced as a 2018 Wisconsin Governor’s Export Award Winner

On May 9, Gehl Foods proudly became one of the 2018 Governor's Export Award recipients. This award, which was presented at the 54^th Annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference in Milwaukee, recognizes companies that have contributed to the growth of Wisconsin’s and elevating Wisconsin’s competitiveness in the global economy.

“Wisconsin exports increased by 6.1 percent in 2017 and are off to a strong start again this year due in large part to the efforts of companies like these, which have developed strategies for reaching new international markets,” Governor Walker said in a statement. “Congratulations to this year’s winners for their success in exporting. They are each helping grow Wisconsin’s economy.”

Gehl Foods has increased export sales by 55 percent since 2015 and now accounts for 10 percent of the revenue. Exporting to 19 countries in addition to the European Union, which comprises 27 countries on its own.

The building of our export business is a primary focus at Gehl Foods, and we have grown to sell our products in 46 countries worldwide through the efforts of our dedicated workforce and distributor network,” said Gehl CEO Eric Beringause. “Many thanks to our friends at WEDC, the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, the Madison International Trade Association and ExporTech for all their help and support."
