Savory Restaurant Appetizers

White Cheddar Italian Bruschetta

  • (25) 1/2 inch thick slices of French baguette
  • 1 cup Gehl's Supreme White Cheddar Cheese sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp Italian Spice seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 bundle fresh basil

Bake bread slices on baking sheet at 375 degrees for 4 minutes; in a large bowl combine remaining ingredients except for basil and stir well; spread a layer of the mixture on each piece of toast and bake at 375 degrees for 9 - 12 minutes or until warm and toasty; sprinkle chopped fresh basil over the top of each piece.

Buffalo Chicken White Cheddar Dip

  • 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast 
  • One (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 2 cups Supreme White Cheddar Cheese sauce
  • 1 1/4 cup Ranch salad dressing
  • 2/3 cup hot pepper sauce

Heat oven to 375 degrees; shred cooked chicken breast and place into bottom of shallow 2 quart dish; add cream cheese into chicken and stir until blended, then stir in Ranch dressing and hot sauce; finally pour Supreme White Cheese sauce over the top; bake 25 minutes until bubbly.

Serve with Gehl's tortilla chips, celery stalks, toasted rounds or your favorite snack.

White Cheddar and Chili Queso Dip

  • 3 cups Supreme White Cheddar Cheese sauce
  • 1 cup Gehl's Chili Sauce 

Mix two ingredients together in bowl and microwave on medium-high heat, stirring periodically.

White Cheddar Lobster Bake

  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 3 cloves minced Garlic
  • 6 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 1/2 pounds Langostino Lobster, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups cracker crumbs
  • 2 cups Gehl's Supreme White Cheddar Cheese sauce
  • 1 tsp Parsley
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper & pinch Cayenne

Preheat over to 375 degrees; heat butter and garlic in saucepan and cook one minute stirring constantly; whisk in flour; add cream and simmer for five minutes; place Lobster in greased casserole dish, mix in Gehl's Supreme White Cheddar Cheese sauce and one cup of cracker crumbs; pour heavy cream mixture over the top and cover with remaining cracker crumbs; bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.

White Cheddar and Beef Quesadilla

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef, seasoned with taco spices and heated
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped jalapeno or cerrano chili 
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup, plus 1/4 cup Gehl's Supreme White Cheddar Cheese Sauce
  • 1 tsp each salt and ground black pepper 

Heat 1 teaspoon of the oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat and brown each tortilla; in the meantime, combine all remaining ingredients in a bowl excluding 1/4 cup Gehl's Supreme White Cheddar Cheese Sauce; once the tortillas are slightly crisped, lay one flat on serving plate and cover entirely with meat/cheese mixture; add the second tortilla on top of the first; cut quesadilla into wedges as you would a pizza; top slices with remaining White Cheddar Sauce; serve with guacamole, salsa and sour cream.
