Making the foods students love an easier choice for you! Let's face it, kids love nachos. They love cheese. They love creamy pudding. And they love their iced lattes. We've taken the age old favorites and "lightened" them up so that you can feel better about serving students their favorite snacks.
Cheesy Broccoli Potato
Bake potato until tender, steam broccoli florets until medium soft; slice open baked potato and top with broccoli florets, then pour 1/4 cup (only 50 calories) Gehl's LITE Cheddar Cheese Sauce over the top.
Vanilla Pudding & Fruit Parfait
In parfait glass, toss 2-3 Raspberries and 2-3 Blueberries into the bottom of the glass; add one 4 oz serving of 99% fat free Vanilla pudding on top; then toss 2-3 Raspberries and 2-3 Blueberries on top of Vanilla pudding; next add another layer of 4 oz of 99% fat free Vanilla pudding on top; add remaining berries to top of Vanilla. Garnish with dollup of Cool Whip or sprig of mint.
LITE Nachos
Serve baked tortilla chips in plastic or paper chip boat and top with Gehl's LITE Jalapeno Cheese Sauce; Gehl's LITE Jalapeno Cheese Sauce contains just shy of half the calories of Gehl's regular blend of Jalapeno Cheese Sauce!
Chocolate Pudding & Nut Parfait
In parfait glass, put 1/3 of chocolate pudding into the bottom of the glass, top with 1/3 of chopped almonds; Add another 1/3 of chocolate pudding and top with 1/3 of chopped almonds; Repeat pudding and nut layers using the remaining chocolate pudding and chopped almonds. Garnish with Cool Whip and/or chocolate shavings.
Banana and Wafer Parfait
In parfait glass, place four banana sliced in bottom of glass, top with 1/3 of the Wafer crumbs and half of the Vanilla pudding; Add another layer of 4 banana slices and another 1/3 of the Wafer crumbs and add the rest of the Vanilla pudding; top with remaining banana slices and Wafer crumbs. Garnish with Cool Whip, if desired.
