Queso Flameado Cheese Dip

Smoky, cheesy and packed with flavor, this Mexican-inspired dip is the ultimate party dish.

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 4 oz chorizo sausage, crumbled
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups Gehl’s Supreme Cheddar Cheese Sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Pinch each salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1/2 baguette, sliced
  • 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green pepper, thinly sliced


  1. Heat olive oil in small saucepan set over medium heat; sauté chorizo for about 5 minutes or until fragrant and crispy. Stir in paprika, chili powder and cayenne; cook for 1 minute.
  2. Stir in cheese sauce and lime juice; cook, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes or until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Transfer to serving dish and sprinkle with cilantro (if using). Serve with baguette slices and peppers for dipping.
