Deluxe Pub Steak and Cheese Sandwich

This grilled steak sandwich delivers bold and delicious flavors. Serve with extra cheese sauce on the side for dipping.

Gehl's Cheesy Breakfast Hash

Ingredients:

4 strip loin steaks (6 to 8 oz each), about 1/2-inch thick

2 tbsp steak spice

2 tbsp canola oil

1/2 lb sliced mushrooms

1/4 tsp salt

Pinch pepper

1 cup Gehl’s Beer Cheese Sauce

4 demi baguettes, split and toasted

1 cup prepared caramelized onions

1 cup arugula

Directions:

1.   Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grates well. Rub steaks with steak spice. Grill steaks, turning once, for 4 to 5 minutes per side, for medium-rare or cook to desired doneness. Let stand for 10 minutes. Thinly slice steak.

2.   Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet set over medium-high heat; sauté mushrooms, salt and pepper for 5 to 8 minutes or until golden and tender.

3.   In microwave-safe bowl, microwave sauce on High for 30 seconds. Stir. Repeat until warm (do not boil). 

4.   Place steak over bottom half of each baguette. Top with cheese sauce, caramelized onions, mushrooms and arugula. Cap with remaining tops of baguette.
